Help Build Our Sanctuary

The future homesite of Buzz Rescue Sanctuary is currently being built out on 16 acres of land in Southern California

In early 2025, we identified the future home of the Buzz Rescue Sanctuary—a uniquely serene Southern California property offering open natural space, sweeping views, and the quiet needed for animals to decompress and heal. Nestled just outside the bustle of the city yet close enough for volunteers and youth groups to visit easily, the land includes gentle foothills, wide open areas for enrichment, and pockets of native habitat that make it a peaceful refuge for both animals and people.

From the beginning, every step of restoring the property—removing old debris, clearing invasive plants, and opening up safe walking paths—has been done with a strong commitment to protecting the natural beauty of Southern California’s landscape. Conservation and thoughtful building guide every decision we make.

Our long-term plan is to develop the sanctuary village as sustainably as possible.
That includes:

  • Solar power to support our operations
  • Rain-capture and greywater reuse systems designed for drought-prone regions
  • Native and drought-tolerant landscaping that avoids pesticides and harsh chemicals
  • Pollinator-friendly zones and natural pest-deterrent plantings
  • Outdoor education areas where children from at-risk and underserved communities
  • can learn about animals, compassion, and environmental stewardship

There is still a long way to go—but we’re incredibly proud of how much progress we’ve made already. And this is only the beginning.
